George Michael and the Village People

Tonight I laughed the hardest I've ever laughed at a tv program. As you can tell from previous posts, I love Dancing with the Stars. Tonight was the best episode so far this season. The celebs were doing the Rumba and Samba. Joey is one of my favorites, but I don't know what got into him tonight. I think Bruno summed it up best when he said that Joey's dance was a cross between George Michael and the Village People on a cruise to Australia. Joey used the George Michael song, Freedom, and I felt he was channeling George way too much.

My favorite is Jerry Springer. I get teased by family and co-workers for voting for him every week, but I don't care. I love seeing him have fun even though he isn't a good dancer. He brings comedy to it, and I laugh every time he dances. This week the v neck shirt and fake tan really cracked me up. My mom even laughed the hardest she's ever laughed watching this show.

I can't decide who I really want to win, since there are so many good dancers this season. I've also give up guessing who is going home, since there have been so many surprises. I thought Willa and Sara would go home before Vivica, but that wasn't the case. Until next time.....

Belated Birthday Party

Tonight we finally got around to having a birthday party for my mother. Her birthday was on the 26th of September. We decided to wait until my brother came home, and her birthday gift didn't arrive until earlier this week. I made an ice cream cake for her. It turned out pretty good even though I am not a master cake decorator by any means. My brother and I got her season 5 of Charmed, Curious George, and a couple of Cows on Parade figurines. My cousin got her a little chicken that sings and dances to the chicken dance. It was really cute. We all had a wonderful evenings.

Playing Hooky

My brother decided to come home instead of going to Germany for his R&R. Since he had an eye appointment today, I decided to use some of my sick leave to take him to the appointment. We had a very nice day. He chose to eat at McDonald's (wouldn't have been my first choice). We had some time to kill before the appointment, so we drove out to Bennett Springs State Park. As the name suggests there is a spring. The park is well known for trout fishing and its hatchery. You can feed the fish in the hatchery, which is what I did while my brother watched. We went to the park store, where I found a cute pair of rose earrings. I enjoy spending time with him, and will miss him when he goes back.

Tonight I watched the results show for Dancing with the Stars. I thought for sure Sara Evans would be going home, but I was wrong again. I'm just glad Jerry survived another week. While he can't dance, he sure is funny and has a fun time trying to dance. I don't know how much longer he will last, but I will keep rooting for him as long as he remains.

I'll close by wishing a friend a Happy Belated Birthday. She finally caught up with me and ushered in her quarter of a century year. Until next time.....
