A Night of the Grammys

It's been a busy month. We lost power for 6 days during the worst ice storm in a long time. It was fun for the first 2 days, but got tedious after that. It sure makes you appreciate what you have (like electricity). Winter has finally arrived with a vengeance. A lot of limbs litter the ground and that's what we've slowly started picking up around the yard. It finally warmed up enough this last weekend to get some of the yard cleaned up. I've also been helping cut and stack wood. I'll post some pics when I finally get them downloaded on the computer.

Now about what I'm actually posting about.....

I watched the best Grammy show I've seen in a while. The Dixie Chicks ruled the night. I am so happy they won. I especially loved Natalie's use of the Simpsons' quote. They've been really put down by people who call them un-American. The beauty of this country is that we have the right to speak our own minds without the fear of repercussions. The Dixie Chicks exercised that right and were treated horribly.
Another favorite group of mine, the Red Hot Chili Peppers won several.
I also thought the live performances were good. I'm even seriously contemplating buying Justin Timberlake's CD, but don't tell anyone. :-)
